Postpartum Doula
As a postpartum doula I would be available to help in any way possible that allows mum to focus on her new baby.  Some women can find establishing breastfeeding challenging and having a doula available in the early days and weeks can be a huge benefit by providing experienced support, encouragement and knowledge.

The postpartum role can also include, but is certainly not limited to, childcare of older siblings, household chores, cooking, fielding visitors, shopping and giving advice, information and above all support and encouragement.

What is a doula?
"Doula" is a greek word meaning 'woman's servant'.  The role itself is relatively unheard of here in New Zealand.  Here are some great links to both Kiwi and international websites that provide some awesome information on the role of a doula.
