As a birth doula I work alongside your Lead Maternity Carer (LMC). I am there primarily to support the pregnant woman.
The scope and nature of my role is guided by the mother. We discuss your expectations, answer any questions that you may have and address your concerns during two pre-birth meetings and unlimited telephone contact leading up to the birth.
As your birth doula I am available to you from the very onset of labour. I will remain with you right through your birth and will continue to be available to you for a few hours after your baby is born.
What is important to me is how YOU feel and what YOU need.
